What You’ll Need
Origami S Dripper & Filter
Coffee Grinder & Whole Bean Coffee OR Medium-Fine Ground Coffee
Hot Water (Preferably from a gooseneck or slow pour Kettle)
Scale with Timer (Highly Recommended!)
Carafe or Mug
How to Brew
Heat water to 195-200F. Pour water over filter to rinse it, and pour out the excess water.
Grind & add 15 grams (~1 heaping tablespoon) of coffee to your Origami S dripper (1:16 coffee to water ratio).
Level the brew bed, and start the bloom pour by adding 40g of water, ensuring all coffee grounds are evenly saturated. Let it sit for 30-45 seconds.
Using slow, controlled circles, add water to 100g. Do 3 additional pours of 50g each every 30 seconds until you reach a total of 250g.
Let the water fully draw down. Total time should take 3-4 minutes.
Swirl your brewed coffee, pour into your favorite mug, and enjoy!
Quick Tips
Rinsing your filter with hot water before brewing will help to remove any paper taste & preheat your dripper and mug.
Experiment with your pour rate, grind size, and water temperature to fine tune your ideal flavor profile.
The bloom phase is crucial! It releases trapped gases for better extraction, so don’t skip it.
If your coffee is tasting weak or sour: try grinding finer, using hotter water, or pouring slower.
If your coffee is tasting bitter or too heavy: try grinding coarser, using cooler water, or pouring faster.
